The bright light you see behind this skier is merely a light on the lighted cross country ski trail at Cole’s Woods in Glens Falls, NY. This trail is a hiking trail in the summer and is in the guidebook: “25 Short Hikes and Interesting Walks in the Lake George, NY Region.“.The skier is Roger Fulton, the co-author of many hiking and biking books.
This is a reminder that many of the trails in Roger Fulton’s Lake George, Saratoga and 1000 Islands hiking books are open to skiing this time of year. Please don’t try to ski the trails in his Florida hiking books though! It wouldn’t be pretty. Roger’s guidebooks (for New York and Florida) are available through Footprint Press.
They make great Christmas presents for friends and family members. Stay warm, or cool, but get out on all of our great trails to hike, ski or just enjoy the great outdoors!
