Upstate NY Green Lights New Ski Resort

Does anyone else find it very odd that with global warming changing our weather patterns dramatically, New York State would choose this time to invest in a ski resort? Click here to read Upstate NY Green Lights New Ski Resort

As much as I dislike this project I have to admit that under some of the different scenarios for global climate change (see the IPCC report) upstate New York could see greatly increased snowfall due to the Great Lakes not freezing over. Currently once the lakes freeze at least partially there is less humidity in the air, hence lessened snowfall. Should the temperature rise freeze over would at least lessen (if not cease to happen) increasing the amount a humdity and thus the amount of precip.
It’s a mad, mad world.
