The Niagara Heritage Partnership (www.niagaraheritage.org) has, since 1997 been advocating the 4 lane removal of the Robert Moses gorge parkway along the rim of the Niagara gorge. We believe the restoration of natural landscapes here with hiking & bicycling trails would create a focal point for attracting a new population of ecotourists. This would begin to revitalize Main St of NF NY--with traffic no longer detouring the city--and the region, as a vigorous marketing plan reaches out to organizations & families who select green vacations. The near-gorge environment is too valuable to be lost under four lanes of concrete when there are alternative routes. Please visit the NHP website to sign the online petition and help us to get this road removed!
