<description>These eco-tours provide a wonderful revelation for many people about some of the environmental treasures our region has to offer residents and visitors. The Niagara Heritage Partnership (www.niagaraheritage.org) has, since 1997 been advocating the 4 lane removal of the Robert Moses gorge parkway along the rim of the Niagara gorge.
We believe the restoration of natural landscapes here with hiking &amp; bicycling trails would create a focal point for attracting a new population of ecotourists. This would begin
to revitalize Main St of NF NY--with traffic no longer detouring the city--and the region, as a vigorous marketing
plan reaches out to organizations &amp; families who select green vacations. The near-gorge environment is too valuable to be lost under four lanes of concrete when there are alternative routes.
