A new kayak park and boat launch is in the works for the Town of Ulster along the Esopus River. County Executive Mike Hein is looking to increase outdoor activities for kayak and boat enthusiasts.
Hein has advanced legislation to have a piece of property used for the park location. The property was purchased by the Greater Catskills Flood Remediation Program which buys flood damaged properties with state funds to revamp for recreational uses.
