With the Draftmaster, bicycles ride in the draft of the car and add very little drag. They are extremely well constructed. “Built in America” and a great value for the money. They can be configured to haul up to 5 bicycles and will take long wheel base recumbents and tandems.
Friends drove between NY & Florida with bikes on a regular rack & their gas mileage dropped from 31 mpg to 21 mpg. A Draftmaster can pay for itself in gas saved.
